S20910 (XM-19) |
|
|
Introduction:
Compared with the common austenite Cr-Ni stainless
steels, these alloys have higher strength and superior
corrosion capabilities, coupled with non-magnetic
properties, high toughness and superior fatigue resistance.
The compositions of X 3CrNiMnMoNbN 23 17 5 3 and S20910
show some overlap, but there are distinct differences
between the alloys as reflected in their minimum strength
properties (MPa):

Produced as flat products, bars, forgings, tube pipe
and fittings.
Metallurgy:
The Mn-N combination is a powerful strengthening addition,
but high Mn may diminish expectations of pitting resistance
and associated properties.
